// Why this exists

Build on proof, not a hunch.

Crack On is a curated, evidence-linked directory of real problems Australians actually complain about — scraped from the open web, clustered into distinct “Why can't…” problems, and scored by how much they itch. Pick one with your name on it. Build it. Stop dithering.

Receipts over vibes

Every problem links back to the real complaints behind it. Nothing is asserted without evidence.

The human gate is the product

Bots scrape and score. A person reviews every single itch before it reaches the board.

Free until it's a synthesis

Browsing the board and the evidence trail costs nothing. Only the deep-dive report is paid.

The board is alive

Ranks shift as fresh signals land. It's a live worksite, not a static brochure.

// The itch score, explained

How it's scored

Every itch score is a number from 0-100, computed the same way for every problem. No vibes, no per-problem tweaking.

01
Scrape

Raw complaints are pulled from the open web — Reddit, Hacker News, Australian news, small-business and consumer RSS feeds, community forums, and ProductReview.com.au — on a recurring schedule.

02
Cluster

An LLM groups the raw noise into distinct “Why can’t…” problems and drops what doesn’t genuinely cluster — it doesn’t force a fit.

03
Score

The itch score is computed in code from three inputs, not asserted by the LLM — so it’s reproducible and explainable.

04
Human review

Nothing reaches the public board automatically. A person checks every cluster and publishes or rejects it.
